Get your home ready for Easter

The longer days and beautiful daffodils means that spring is nearly here, and the Easter weekend is almost upon us. 

If you’re hosting guests in your home or just want to get into that spring feeling, read our top tips to get your home ready for Easter! 

De-clutter and spring clean

The start of spring is the perfect time to give your home a thorough clean and de-clutter, to help you feel refreshed. Get out all your cleaning products and work through one room at a time, making sure all surfaces are dust-free and everything is put back in its place. Try to spread your spring cleaning out over a few days so it’s much easier to tackle. 

Decorate your home

Now that your home is pristine, it’s time to add decorations. You don’t need to go overboard, just add subtle seasonal style to your existing décor. Add small touches around the house such as an egg tree table centrepiece, a spring wreath on the door, pastel ornaments, and spring florals. 

Set your Easter table

If you’re hosting this Easter and are planning to serve up an impressive meal, make sure that your table décor is just as good! Get creative by decorating your table with pastel colours, colourful flowers, bunnies, and eggs to bring a spring atmosphere in your home. 

Prepare an egg hunt

An egg hunt is all part of the fun of the Easter weekend. If you’ve got little ones, there’s nothing better than hiding chocolate eggs around your home and garden, watching them run around to find them! However, make sure to purchase your sweet treats in plenty time to avoid the Easter rush at the supermarket.
