We have a range of specially designed house types offering optionality for all potential partners, with an array of layouts and bedroom numbers available, including terrace, semi-detached, detached, townhouses, plus bungalows and apartments.
Avant Homes is a housebuilder operating in Scotland, the North East and West of England, across Yorkshire, the East and West Midlands.
We acquire land, obtain planning consent, and build in fantastic locations, opening the door to a place to call home, creating inclusive communities that reflect the diversity of the regions we operate in.
Our breadth and capabilities mean that we can deliver high quality homes for partners to suit their need and requirements.
As of June 2024, we have delivered three PRS portfolios supplying 559 new quality new homes to our partners.
We also have a pipeline of over 500 affordable homes over and above our normal planning obligations to be delivered across 17 developments.
In addition to this, we have 600+ Section 106 affordable homes currently in delivery.
In June 2026 we announced a deal with Vico Homes to provide a wholly-affordable scheme of 73 homes at our development on Lingwell Gate Lane in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
The homes include two-bedroom accessible bungalows, two- and three-bedroom semi-detached houses, and three- and four-bedroom detached properties.
The first completions at the development are expected to take place in spring next year, and it is anticipated that all homes will be completed by summer 2028 to EPC ratings of ‘B’ or higher.
This 100 per cent affordable housing deal with Vico Homes reflects our commitment to delivering quality, energy-efficient new homes for the people who need them most.
In June 2026, we completed our first private rented sector (PRS) transaction in Scotland after agreeing a £10.8m deal with Thriving Investments to provide 41 homes at our Edmonstone Village development in Edinburgh.
Edmonstone Village benefits from enhanced sustainability credentials as all homes at the development will be powered by a district heating system, operated by Vital Energi. The low carbon system is designed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and deliver heat more efficiently, helping residents lower their environmental impact without compromising on comfort.
Work is already underway on the 41 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, which include terraced, semi-detached and detached house types.
Once completed, the homes will be operated through Thriving Investments’ New Avenue Living fund, which provides professionally managed, high-quality rental housing in Scotland.
We recognise the importance of modern methods of construction and are proud to own a timber frame manufacturing facility called Roof Profiles.
Based in West Scotland, Roof Profiles, can deliver sufficient timber kit houses per annum to service our Scotland region as well as external developers.
The factory has a multi-skilled workforce with semi-automated processes to deliver the necessary volume of timber kits, consisting of wall panels, roof trusses, floor cassettes and roof panels.
Roof Profiles has achieved an ISO 9001 Accreditation for quality management, giving confidence to our customers. Roof Profiles is also a member of the Structural Timber Frame Association.
As a sustainable business, Roof Profiles only uses Forest Stewardship Council and The Programme for The Endorsement of Forest Certification accredited timber suppliers.
We also offer land and build packages. This is where we acquire land and then enter into a build contract to deliver 100% affordable homes on behalf of a housing association.
The house types utilised are from our core Avant range, but the housing mix, design and specification is specific to the needs of each housing association.
Housing association partnerships such as these are often partly funded by a government grant from Homes England.
We know our clients are all different, and each have their specific needs. That’s why our range of core house types have been designed to offer something for everyone. This makes us a trusted customer -orientated partner.
Our mixed tenure homes range from 1–5 bedroom properties across 1, 2 and 3 stories within terraced, semi-detached and detached arrangements.
This optionality enables us to service a variety of end-user needs and preferences with spaces suitable for professionals, growing families or those who are enjoying retirement.
Where required, our homes can adapt to the Nationally Described Space Standards (NDSS). We also provide M4(2) and M4(3) compliant homes where required and in accordance with local authority policies.
Our new build homes are energy efficient offering savings for the occupants as well as protecting the environment. Research by the Home Builders Federation has found that new build homes can save occupants on average £420 per year on their energy bills.
From 2025 we are committed to achieving a 75-80% reduction in CO2 emissions in all new homes compared with 2021, in line with the Future Homes Standard.
Our properties feature energy saving features as standard, including triple glazed windows, water saving taps, zoned heating, the latest boilers, efficient light bulbs, and excellent insulation.
All appliances that we fit incorporate the latest energy saving technology, and we work with leading suppliers who put sustainability at the forefront of their design.
