Am I eligible for the Bank of Mum and Dad scheme?

If you have proof that your family member is helping you with your deposit, then you are eligible. This is generally in the form of a letter making it clear the donated money is a gift and will not have any interest on it or need to be repaid.

However, the Bank of Mum and Dad scheme is only available on selected plots and developments and applies solely to owner occupied properties. This means anyone buying an Avant home as an investment or as a buy to let property will not be eligible.

Does the Bank of Mum and Dad scheme affect my mortgage?

No, our offer doesn’t directly affect your mortgage. However, it’s also worth noting that family members can help further by being a guarantor on your mortgage, which could help you borrow more to secure your ideal home!
