The site of some of our exciting new homes, Leicestershire is a university county steeped in history –being where epic battles, like the Wars of the Roses, occurred.

However, the Leicestershire of today is the furthest thing from a divided battlefield. As one of the core academic hubs in the UK, the county has benefitted from the mix of cultures that have come from far and wide to pursue their studies there.

Perhaps this is no more evident than in beautifully inclusive events such as the Festival of Light that takes place in Leicestershire to mark the start of Diwali every year.

Beyond culture, the academics the county attracts have brought their expertise too. Home to the National Space Centre, Leicestershire houses some of the best minds in the UK.

If you are a naturally inquisitive person and want to see what is out there, we encourage you to browse through some of the new homes, in Leicestershire, that we are developing.

To start you off with a few ideas, here are, what we reckon, some of the best places to live in Leicestershire:

Why Choose to Live in Coalville?

  • Coalville Memorial Square
  • Introducing Collingsgate, our development in the charming town of Coalville, which has a number of 3 and 4 bedroom homes available to buy.

Located in the North West region of the county, Coalville is a vibrant town with proximity to major roads – situated mere minutes from the M1 and the M42 –and major cities - Loughborough is only 25 minutes away.

More than just a convenient location, residents at our Collingsgate development benefit from magnificent views of Bardon Hill on their doorstep without missing out on the big city experience, especially when it comes to finding good schools or the area’s thriving retail sector.

Coalville is home to a number of great primary and secondary schools. with many receiving either good or outstanding Ofsted ratings. The town also boasts a wide array of retailers, including national chain supermarkets and local independent shops – you need to visit their local indoor market which takes place 3x a week.

Just about everything you could ever need can be found on the doorstep of one of our new Collingsgate homes.

The Hermitage Leisure Centre can also be found in town – offering both gym and swimming facilities to the locals.

Why Choose to Live in Earl Shilton?

  • We have a number of 2,3, 4, and 5 bedroom homes at Sheltone Village, our development located in East Shilton.

East Shilton, as a Leicestershire town with a bevy of great schools for all ages - including notable institutions such as St Peters Primary School, Weavers Close Primary School and Heath Lane Academy – was a natural choice for us.

The town also features a wide array of shops, restaurants and banks – everything you need at your doorstep.

Beyond its amenities, East Shilton, like several towns in Leicestershire, is home to a site of historical significance – being where you can find the Bosworth Battlefield. Definitely worth a visit if you are a history buff!

Or why not watch history being made in real time by visiting Leicester’s Welford Road and King Power stadiums where premiership rugby union and football matches are regularly contested. For sporting enthusiasts, both stadiums are easy to get to, located on the doorstep of our new homes at Sheltone Village.

East Shilton also benefits from easy access to the M1 and M6, making it an easy commute to London, alongside the A47 and M69, for journeys to the neighboring cities: Coventry and Leicester.

  • War Memorial

Why Choose to Live in Market Harborough?

  • Market Harborough
  • Ten Locks Village is our development in the beautiful market town of Market Harborough.

Market Harborough is situated in Leicestershire’s Rockingham Forest and is home to several historical sites, most notably the St Dionysius Parish Church and Rockingham Castle, which date back 1000 years.

Living in one of our new homes at Ten Locks Village means that you are only a short walk away from these Market Harborough artifacts – perfect if you have a deep admiration for classic architecture.

While Market Harborough’s fascinating heritage is certainly part of its appeal, the town has several independent shops too and is home to a number of Michelin Star restaurants including places like Johns House restaurant – where all their meats and vegetables are sourced from the owner’s farm, with the menu being regularly updated in accordance with what is in season.

Also containing a theatre and a leisure center, living in one of our new houses at Ten Locks Village will mean that you will have every amenity you will ever need on your doorstep.

It is also an easy place to commute from, with London only being an hour away by train.
