Living in Armadale

Commuting in and out of Armadale

Our new homes in Armadale benefit from being situated just a five minute drive (or a 30 minute walk) away from the local Armadale Railway station – which offers regular services to Edinburgh, Waverley, Airdrie, Bathgate, and Milngavie.
There are also a number of bus services that operate within Armadale, including Lothian Country Buses, connecting residents to the likes of Whitburn and Edinburgh, as well as other neighbouring towns.

Schools in the area

Honeyman Park is a great place to raise a family, with primary schools like Armadale Primary School and Eastertoun Primary School being within 10 minutes’ walk of the development.
The town’s local high school, the Armadale Academy, is similarly close by, being less than a five minute walk away from Honeyman Park, making it a breeze to drop the kids off at school.

Public parks in Armadale

Lying at the heart of Armadale, Watson Park is only a stone’s throw away from the town’s library and community centre and features both a tennis court and a football pitch.
Other popular parks in Armadale include Nelson Park. Chosen during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee to be the recipient of community tree planting events, the park holds a special place for many in the town – a source of pride that the community has helped build up.
The Black Moss Nature Reserve offers wildlife enthusiasts an expansive area of bog moss situated around the beautiful Old Curling Pond. A peaceful nature escape located near the town’s centre; the Black Moss Nature Reserve comes highly recommended.
For something a little less wild and a little more pruned, we recommend spending time at the idyllic Armadale Castle, Gardens & Museum of the Isles.

Armadale’s communal activity spots

As well as the area’s popular greenspace and parks, Armadale also has its very own Community Education Centre & Library – offering the community a number of classes, including the likes of Zumba and arts & crafts, as well as a playgroup, a library, and a large hall that can be hired out for all manner of social events.
If you’re looking for a bite to eat or drink, there’s no shortage of options with a variety of restaurants and pubs in Armadale including Corrie Bar, Amore Armadale, Virsa Indian and the Rowan Tree.
