Clifton site acquired for 265-home development

Development

10 Apr 2022

Avant Homes has purchased 24-acres of land to build a £77.5m development including 265 design-led homes in Clifton, near Nottingham.

Subject to planning approval from Nottingham City Council, the development will feature a collection of one, two, three, four and five-bedroom properties across a selection of 15 of Avant Homes' popular house designs. Up to 20 per cent of the new development will also be designated to affordable housing.

If plans are given the green light, initial groundworks are expected to commence this summer with the build expected to take approximately six years.

The development is set to create more than 820 jobs and is located just off Hawksley Gardens to the west of Clifton's village centre. The site is also situated just five miles south of Nottingham city centre.

Avant Homes East Midlands managing director, Tim Brickley, said: "Acquiring this parcel of land in Clifton is a testament to our ambitious growth plans to extend our presence in key locations in Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands region.

"This acquisition is a testament to our commitment to the delivery of much-needed, high-quality homes in Nottinghamshire and we now await the planning decision to move this development forward."

Subject to planning, the Clifton-based development will be Avant Homes' fourth development under construction in Nottinghamshire. The housebuilder's other Nottinghamshire developments are located in Mansfield, Wollaton and Ruddington, and are set to deliver 443 homes for the county.
