Living in Rosyth

Great schools and a world-renowned university on your doorstep

Rosyth has several primary schools for parents with young children to choose from.
There’s the Park Road Primary School – a school that places their students’ welfare at the heart of everything they do and regularly hold committees where students across a broad selection of year groups are able to contribute their ideas for making the school a welcoming place for all. Park Road also offers a nursery option. There’s also St John’s RC Primary School, which offers a number of additional programmes including an After School Club, a Breakfast Club and a Holiday Club. Then there’s King’s Road Primary School which is anchored by their brilliant Parents’ Council and their Student Leadership groups. Parents are kept up to date with all the various events at the school via its app. There’s also Camdean Primary School, a school that has firmly embraced the future, with the entire school being a Wi-Fi zone and each classroom boasting Smartboard IT facilities. Camdean also offers a nursery option. For older kids, there’s Fife College’s Rosyth Campus, a further education college offering both STEM and Arts courses. Its impressive facilities include 10,000 metres of training facilities populated with state-of-the-art technology. Then, of course, there’s the iconic University of St. Andrews; the 3rd oldest university in the world (only Cambridge and Oxford are older), counting the likes of Prince William and 5 Nobel Laureates amongst its alumni. You’re in good company, studying in Fife!

A development ideally located for commuters

There are regular trains from Rosyth to Edinburgh Waverley every 30 minutes from Rosyth Railway Station, as well as a number of services from Rosyth to the centre of Dunfermline.

The station is also perfectly designed to accommodate all travelers with several disabled access points having been introduced to the station in 2013. The neighbouring Inverkeithing is also an easy drive away via the M90. The site of our new builds in Fife, Rosyth is very much the industrial part of Fife, with its impressive dockyard; however, Fife is a multifaceted town, offering beautiful walks, world-class sporting facilities and a diverse selection of restaurants and bars too.

Fife – The ‘Home of Golf’

Fife is widely recognised as the home of modern golf, being where the R&A – the global governing body of golf – was founded. Indeed, Fife has the distinction of being home to the world’s oldest golf club, The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, which also happens to be one of the R&A’s 3 headquarters (with the other 2 being located in America and Mexico). For any true golf fan and purist, living in Fife is as close to living the dream as it gets.

What are some of the nearby shops and restaurants?

You don’t have to walk far from our new homes in Fife to find a number of well-known supermarkets. Rosyth has a Tesco Extra, a Co-op and a Nisa and on Queensferry Street, a short trip away, you’ll also find several smaller, unique shops like The Flower Shop and Tony Mugs.

A town perfectly preserved

Aside from being the centre of the universe for the golfing community, Fife is also known for its thousands of listed buildings and 48 conservation areas, with several castles and cathedrals in the town dating back to the 13th century. Much of Fife’s charm comes from its relatively untouched aesthetic, with the beautiful Lomand Hills remaining as mostly just gorgeous farmland stretching for miles.
