Transport in Tranent
Thistle Meadows is ideal for commuters looking to settle down in East Lothian. This is because our new builds in Tranent are situated less than 2 miles from the A1, helping connect the town to the likes of Edinburgh, Newcastle, Doncaster and Sunderland, making it the perfect base to explore.
Tranent is well connected by public transport, too, with the nearest railway station just a 7-minute drive away from our development. Prestonpans Station offers regular trains towards Edinburgh and North Berwick, a scenic harbour town on the East coast.
For bus services, the nearest stop to Thistle Meadows is Carlaverock Farm Road. From here, you can catch the 113 service every 30 minutes, which will take you into Edinburgh in less than 50 minutes. Lothian Buses also provide other regular services connecting Tranent to nearby Macmerry and the rest of East Lothian.
