Home storage tips

Are you planning a spring clean or just looking to get on top of the mess?

Keeping your home organised and tidy isn’t always as easy as it sounds but we’re here to help!

If you have cluttered drawers or an overflowing wardrobe, keep reading for our top home storage tips.

Storage furniture

If you’re looking to stash away living room essentials, storage furniture is a great option. Ottomans or storage coffee tables are great for keeping throws, cushions, and toys out of sight when they are not being used.

Ottomans come in all different colours and fabrics, so opt for a style which co-ordinates with your sofa or colour theme. You’ll find that some new sofas even have the option to add a matching ottoman.

Drawer dividers

If your drawers are full of clutter and you can never find what you want, why not invest in some draw dividers?. They are fantastic for organising kitchen and bedroom drawers and allow you to easily find what you’re looking for. Turn the inside of your drawers from chaos to categorised groups.

In your kitchen drawers you can have a section for cutlery, peelers, utensils etc. Upstairs, group together socks, underwear or accessorises.

Utilise hooks

Make sure to utilise hooks in your home, they can be used in any room!

Add hooks to your hallway to store coats and jackets, freeing up more space in your wardrobe.  You can also install them on the inside doors of kitchen cupboards or on the back of doors, ideal for hanging towels or racks to store things.

If you have a garage, hooks are a great way to get items up off the floor and make more space - from bikes to tools and ladders.

Modular storage

If you’re looking to keep things neat and tidy, modular storage is a flexible storage solution. Modular furniture can be set out and adjusted to whatever layout you like. From shelves and frames to cabinets, you can combine these into unique combinations to suit your space and needs.

If you’ve got a large blank wall to work with, why not cover an entire wall with modular storage? Not only will this give you lots of storage space but can also look modern and contemporary.

Vertical space

The vertical space in our homes often gets left unused but there are great ways you can maximise your horizontal space to truly optimise the space you live in.

Adding floating shelves at different heights to blank walls are great for displaying décor and books, giving a sleek, minimalist look.

If your kitchen cabinets are overcrowded with pots, pans and utensils, a hanging rack is a perfect solution. Making them easily accessible and organised.
