Avant Homes has submitted plans and exchanged contracts on an 11.9-acre site in Barugh Green, Barnsley to deliver a £37m, 155-home development
Called Craven Glade, and located on Barugh Green Road, the proposed development will comprise a mix of one-, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes. It will feature 14 of Avant Homes’ practically designed, energy efficient house types.
If given the go ahead by Barnsley Council, work on site is set to commence in April 2026, with the first residents expected to move into their new homes in November 2026.
The homes being built form part of the Barnsley West Masterplan, which will see Barnsley Council deliver around 1,700 new homes across the region.
Subject to planning being granted, the development will be delivered by Avant Homes West Yorkshire. The operating company’s managing director, Richard Hosie, said: “Our proposed Craven Glade development is an excellent example of our commitment to building quality new homes in places where people want to live.
“The site will provide practically designed, energy efficient homes suited to a wide range of buyers, whether they are families, downsizers or first-time buyers.
“We now look forward to Barnsley Council considering our proposed plans to deliver a new, thriving community which creates new homes for the Barugh Green area.”
