Avant Homes Scotland has raised £6,900 for Falkirk-based Strathcarron Hospice following a charity golf day held at Hollandbush Golf Club in Lanark
The housebuilder brought together 30 subcontractors from across its supply chain for the golf event, raising vital funds for the charity that provides support across Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth.
Strathcarron Hospice provides free care for people with all life-limiting conditions, including cancer, motor neurone disease (MND), heart failure and other progressive illnesses, supporting patients and families when it matters most.
The hospice offers both inpatient and community-based services, ensuring patients can receive compassionate, dignified care in the setting that's right for them.
This includes providing patients with expert symptom management, emotional and spiritual support, and respite care.
Claire Kennedy, corporate fundraiser at Strathcarron Hospice, said: “We'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who organised and took part in Avant Homes' golf day.
“We rely on the support of individuals and businesses to keep our services running free of charge, and thanks to Avant Homes’ fundraising efforts, more than 300 hours of specialist nursing care will be available for people living with a terminal illness and facing the end of life.
“Our goal is to help people live well right up until the end of life and the team at Avant Homes has helped make this possible for those in our care.”
Avant Homes Scotland has supported Strathcarron Hospice since 2016 and the housebuilder has raised more than £33,000 through various fundraising initiatives during that time.
Bryan Galloway, construction director at Avant Homes Scotland, said: “Strathcarron Hospice does incredible work supporting people and their families throughout Forth Valley and we're proud to play a part in helping them continue this vital service.
"The event was a great success and I'd like to thank all our subcontractors who took part and contributed so generously to this worthy cause.”
