Avant Homes North East has opened a four-bedroom family showhome at its £28m Brompton Mews development in Catterick.

Located just four miles from Richmond town centre on Cookson Way, the 135-home development comprises a mix of three and four-bedroom family homes. Prices range from £229,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached property to £324,995 for a four-bedroom detached house.

Interested buyers can now visit the popular four-bedroom Horbury showhome to experience one of Avant Homes’ practically designed, energy-efficient new homes at first hand.

On the ground floor, the Horbury features a large living room, a flexible snug which is ideal to use as a study or playroom and a WC with contemporary sanitaryware.

At the back of the property, there’s a large open-plan kitchen/dining room with modern integrated appliances and a family dining space. This room also boasts a large storage cupboard, French doors leading to the rear garden and access to a dedicated utility room with an additional outside door.

Upstairs, the main bedroom is served by an ensuite shower room. A large double bedroom and two single bedrooms share the use of a family bathroom with full-height tiling, bathtub, WC and washbasin.

The generous landing space also features an additional storage cupboard. The Horbury also benefits from a detached garage.

Selected plots at Brompton Mews feature part exchange offers and military discount, with those eligible able to claim a £500 contribution for every £25,000 of the purchase price.

Avant Homes North East sales and marketing director, Miranda Parry, said: “We have a range of housetypes available at Brompton Mews and our Horbury showhome lets prospective buyers see for themselves what we have on offer.

“As a business, we are committed to providing quality new homes for everyone and helping people make their ideal next move a reality.

“With our wide range of incentives and variety of house types, we are looking forward to welcoming more potential buyers to Brompton Mews and continuing to create a new community within Catterick.”

There is one affordable home remaining at Brompton Mews. The affordable home is on the Durham County Council-backed discount market sale (DMS) scheme, which offers eligible buyers 20 per cent off the market value price.

The DMS scheme home available is a three-bedroom Baildon house type discounted to £185,000.

The DMS scheme provides access to homes while enabling buyers to attain 100 per cent ownership and financial savings, making owning a new home more achievable and affordable.

To be eligible to buy a discounted home, buyers need to meet criteria relating to their local connection and how much they earn. The DMS scheme at Brompton Mews is not limited to first-time buyers and the decision on eligibility rests with the council.
