Avant Homes launches affordable homes for sale at £60m development in Holmewood, near Chesterfield

Avant Homes Central has announced the release for sale of 10 affordable homes at its £60m, 247-home Earl’s Park development in Holmewood, near Chesterfield.

Located on Tibshelf Road, Earl’s Park comprises a mix of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes and features 12 of Avant Homes’ practically designed, energy efficient house types.

The 10 affordable homes available are on the North East Derbyshire District Council-backed discount market sale (DMS) scheme which offers eligible buyers 20 per cent off the market value price.

The DMS scheme homes are all two-bedroom Thirsk house types starting from a discounted value of £151,996.

All available properties benefit from Avant Homes’ signature practical design and energy efficiency. Each home also features two generous double bedrooms, a modern kitchen/living room with integrated appliances and downstairs WC.

The DMS scheme provides access to homes while enabling buyers to attain 100 per cent ownership and financial savings, making owning a new home more achievable and affordable.

To be eligible to buy a discounted home, buyers need to meet criteria relating to their local connection and how much they earn. The DMS scheme at Earl’s Park is not limited to first time buyers and the decision on eligibility rests with the council.

Prices for the other available homes at Earl’s Park range from £236,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached property to £369,995 for a five-bedroom detached family home.

Selected plots at Earl’s Park, other than those in the DMS scheme, also benefit from a range of incentives. These include 5 per cent deposit paid and £1000 legal fees paid.
