Avant Homes grows in-house planning and architectural design teams as UK expansion continues

Avant Homes has grown its in-house planning and architectural design teams to support its multi-tenure UK expansion strategy which has seen the business open three new regional operating companies this year.
The housebuilder’s planning and architectural design teams now comprise eight and 10 people respectively enabling the in-house delivery of both services.
Since the beginning of the year, Avant Homes has expanded its operational presence in North Yorkshire, North-West England and recently opened another office in Scotland, bringing its total number of regional businesses to nine.
Headquartered in Barlborough, near Chesterfield, Avant Homes’ regional operating companies now cover Scotland, North-East England, Yorkshire and Midlands.
Avant Homes Group head of planning, Alastair Cliffe, said: “We have brought together a very strong team, with individual planning experts now responsible for opening new outlets in what is an increasingly challenging planning climate.
“Our new range of homes have been well received by local authorities everywhere we operate and will supply not only the private sales market but also the private rented and additional affordable sectors.
“We are focused on working closely with local authorities to secure additional opportunities to deliver our product.”
At present, Avant Homes employs more than 600 people with ambition to grow its multi-tenure business further across its existing regions and beyond, creating communities and providing employment opportunities for many.
Avant Homes Group head of architectural design, Tom Smith, added: “As a team, we are committed to providing well designed, accessibly priced homes at varying price points, reflecting the wide diversity of our customer base.
