Avant Homes has announced the winners of a ‘Love Your Front Garden’ competition at its £35m, 135-home Viridian Meadows development in Desborough
The idea of resident Janet Nesbeth, the competition encouraged Viridian Meadows homeowners to enhance their front gardens, fostering a sense of pride and community spirit within the development.
Residents got creative with their use of flowers, plants and decorations to make their gardens stand out from one another, making judging a difficult task for Janet and Avant Homes regional assistant sales manager, Lisa Lally.
After much conferring the judges chose to award first prize of a NINJA electric outdoor pizza oven & air fryer to Heather Duncan Clayton.
Sophie Hammerschmidt and Ryan Marshall came second and received a Ryobi corded pressure washer and third place, which was won by Andrew and Maria Hames, was awarded a garden storage box.
Avant Homes West Midlands head of sales, Tom Eames, said: "We were very impressed by the enthusiasm our residents at Viridian Meadows showed for the Love Your Front Garden competition.
"As a housebuilder, we understand that creating a strong sense of community goes beyond building homes. Initiatives like this help foster pride in the development and encourage residents to play an active role in shaping their neighbourhood.
“We’d like to thank Janet Nesbeth for her great idea and congratulate our winners and everyone who participated. The front gardens at Viridian Meadows have been transformed beautifully and it’s great to see our community flourishing."
Located just off Buxton Drive and Eyam Close, Viridian Meadows comprises a mix of three-, four- and five-bedroom practically designed, energy efficient homes.
Prices at the development range from £290,000 for a three-bedroom semi-detached Oakwood house type to £480,000 for the five-bedroom detached Appleton.
