Avant Homes Central announces new director in charge hire

Avant Homes Central has appointed an experienced director in charge to lead the region’s multi-tenure growth strategy.
Matt Barker joins from Persimmon Homes where he held the same position for the company’s South Yorkshire region.
He has worked in the housebuilding industry for 26 years in a variety of land, planning, partnerships, development and management roles.
As director in charge of the Central region, Matt will lead the regional team in bringing outlets forward and delivering the company’s multi-tenure strategy. His experience will complement the wider senior management team and bring added strength in depth.
Avant Homes Central covers South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. The region currently has eight live developments ranging from Retford to Awsworth with many more due to start as the business continues to implement its growth plans.
Commenting on his appointment, Matt said: “I have joined a company with a clear vision and an ambitious regional team committed to our customers, delivering quality new homes for everyone at a range of price points to the private, rented and affordable sectors.
“I am looking forward to leading and further developing our team was we grow, whilst also building upon our relationships with local authorities, partners and key stakeholders.
“To deliver our strategy, Avant Homes is also active in the land market and I am already reviewing a number of new development opportunities in popular locations throughout our region.”
Avant Homes Central is part of the Avant Homes Group which currently operates across the north of England, the Midlands and Scotland from nine regional operating businesses.
