This project has completely transformed the area over the last 40 years; the Dodworth of today is known for the array of silver birch trees that adorn its streets and the pretty farmland that stretches across the northern parts of the village.

Popular amongst commuters, its proximity to the M1 Junction 37 makes it easy for residents to commute to major cities like Sheffield and Leeds. The village also benefits from a direct train service to Huddersfield, Sheffield, Leeds, and Barnsley.

Dodworth is also home to the award-winning restaurant, Shaw’s Fish & Chip shop. Ranked as one of the Top 50 Fish & Chip shops in the UK by Fry magazine in 2021, trying the British favourite at Shaw’s should be a priority if you’re moving to Dodworth.
