Living in Radcliffe

Perfect for an active lifestyle

The Cliff Walk is a pretty walking path that lies along the River Trent – the 3rd longest river in the UK. The river stretches all the way to the nearby Shelford Village and is perfect if you’re looking for a gentle stroll. The River Trent is also popular amongst anglers with the river being home to a number of species including bream, carp, pike, and salmon. If fishing is your thing, you can join the local Radcliffe on Trent Angling Society who organise around twenty Sunday matches each year.

Excellent transport links

Radcliffe is the ideal place to live if you need to regularly commute to Nottingham.

The village sits on the edge of Nottingham but isn’t as built up as the big city. The local bus provider, Trentbarton, offers regular trips to Nottingham, with a service that runs every 10 minutes on weekdays.

Nottingham is also accessible by rail, with Radcliffe Railway Station also offering regular services to neigbouring areas like Grantham, Boston and Skegness.

Lovely schools across every age group

Students of all ages are catered to in Radcliffe, with the village offering a nursery & infant school, The Radcliffe Infant & Nursery School, a junior school, The Radcliffe on Trent Junior School, and a secondary school, The South Nottinghamshire Academy

What kind of Radcliffe community activities can you get involved in?

The village’s main community venues are The Grange and Grange Hall. Located in the centre of the village, and just 5-minute walk from Radcliffe Railway Station, both halls host a number of events.

Grange Hall hosts a number of community initiatives including its amateur theatre group, which anyone can get involved in. The theatre group regularly put on productions at Grange Hall too, which has a stage, a bar and a number of changing rooms. Other community events held at Grange Hall include its cinema nights and its various talks.

The Grange hosts more private events like weddings, conferences and parties.
