Transport in Pleasley

The nearest train station to Stanton Place is in Mansfield town centre, approximately a 10 minute drive away. There are also train stations in Mansfield Woodhouse and Shirebrook, just a couple of minutes further. All are on the Robin Hood line, travelling from Nottingham to Worksop.

To travel further afield, use the Robin Hood line to travel to Nottingham and get a direct train to London. The journey will take less than two hours and there are up to 48 trains a day from Nottingham to London.  

From Nottingham you can also travel to other major cities such as Birmingham, Leeds and Leicester.  For car travel, our development in Pleasley is very close to the M1. East Midlands Airport is also only a 30 minute drive away. 

Things to do in and around Pleasley

In Pleasley, you can visit the Pleasley Pit Coal Mining Heritage Site, a mining museum developed from the old colliery site and the Pleasley Pit Country Park and Local Nature Reserve, with over 49 different walks and cycling routes. Bolsover Castle is also just a 14 minute drive away.

Being close to Mansfield also means you can enjoy numerous additional attractions and amenities, including the Four Seasons Shopping Centre with over 50 stores, the bowling alley, Mansfield Superbowl, and just outside of the town there is Go Ape Sherwood and Truth and Trust Adventure where you can try abseiling, caving, climbing, and much more. 

You can also enjoy the Full Shebang Festival a one day free arts festival in Mansfield town centre. 

Schools in Pleasley

There are schools for students of all ages near Stanton Place, with nursery, primary and secondary schools within a 10 minute drive of the development. 

The closest schools to our homes include:

1. Farmilo Primary School and Nursery is only a 11 minute walk away, accepting children ages 3-11 with nursery classes. 

2. Crescent Primary School is a four-minute drive or 22 minute walk.  It accepts children aged 3-11 and received an outstanding in its most recent Ofsted report.

The closest secondary schools are:

1. The Beech Academy, a five minute drive away

2. Queen Elizabeth's Academy, a seven minute drive away

3. All Saints' Catholic Academy, also five minutes' drive away.

All three schools are mixed and accept children from 11-18, with the Beech Academy also accepting students until 19.
