Living in Burton On Trent

All of this, right on your doorstep

Things to do

First built in the 1200s, Sinai Park House has long been a place for rest and recuperation. Sinai is home to an ancient spring, Chalybeate waters. It is here that the monks who inhabited Burton Abbey healed and took respite after bloodletting. The surrounding Sinai Park Woodlands offer the perfect opportunity to explore the house’s surrounding areas and get lost in this historic forest.

Horninglow Green is a protected green space under Fields in Trust. Here, locals are known to sit and picnic, relax in the sun whilst reading a book and celebrate special occasions. Think of this as a local place of peace and tranquility.

Escape Time gives you 60 minutes for you and your team to get out of their live escape rooms. Get your brains thinking and your blood pumping in the three different rooms.

Shopping

In need of some retail therapy? Fear not, Burton-on-Trent has everything you need.

The Octagon and Burton Place shopping centres offer high street favourites, latest fashion trends and beauty bargains, all under one roof. There is also a TK Maxx and Dunelm close by for homewares galore.

With an ASDA and Tesco superstore on your doorstep, the weekly shop is made simple too. There are smaller, independent greengrocers and butchers where you can pick up local produce.

Transport

Burton-on-Trent train station offers services to Birmingham New Street, Aberdeen, Cardiff and Nottingham which in turn provide links to other major cities in the UK, including the capital.

With the M1 nearby and lots of major A roads, travelling by car, whether for business or pleasure, is made simple.

For those wanting to travel further afield, East Midlands airport is less than an hour away by car.
