Bus travel is just as easy, with the nearest stop a quick 10-minute stroll from Lawrence Point. From here, you can catch Trent Barton’s “rainbow one” service, or local Nottsbus Connect services 532 and 535. These run regularly throughout the day, making trips into Nottingham or nearby areas such as Newthorpe straightforward.

Nearby Colliers Wood Nature Reserve (a 5-minute drive away) also offers scenic walking trails, ponds, and plenty of opportunities for spotting wildlife. And if it’s raining, the Mighty Monsters soft play area in Stapleford is the ideal place to tire out the young ones inside.

Culture lovers will appreciate the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum (15 minutes away on foot), which celebrates the life and work of Eastwood’s most famous literary figure, while golfers can tee off at Ormonde Fields Golf Club, only 15 minutes away by car.

When it comes to dining, Eastwood has plenty to offer. Enjoy a cosy meal at the Sun Inn, tuck into a carvery at Oliver’s Pub & Kitchen, or pop into Julie’s Tearoom for an afternoon tea.

For the weekly shop, a large Morrisons supermarket is under a 5-minute drive away, with smaller convenience stores dotted around the town centre too.

Craving some proper retail therapy? Stop by Giltbrook Shopping Park a 7-minute drive away – or head into Nottingham to visit Victoria Centre, where over 100 high-street stores await.

Schools in Eastwood

For parents looking to settle in Eastwood, Lawrence Point is an excellent choice with plenty of well-regarded schools just a short walk or drive away.

Younger kids under 5 can attend Phoenix Park Nursery in Giltbrook, a short 5-minute drive from the development, or The Cottage Day Nursery a 10-minute drive away.

If you have children aged 3 to 11, Lawrence View Primary and Nursery School offers both nursery and primary education and is only a 7-minute walk from our new homes in Eastwood. The Florence Nightingale Academy also welcomes children of the same age in a modern academy setting, just a 15-minute walk away.

As for secondary education, Hall Park Academy serves students aged 11 to 18 with an attached Sixth Form, and is only 18 minutes away on foot for a stress-free school run.
