Those wanting to shop will be able to head straight to The Foundry, where you can find several well-known brands, as well as a second shopping centre, The Parishes, home to a Vue cinema for movie buffs and a big indoor market.
A quick 30-minute drive will see you reach the outskirts of the Lincolnshire Wolds, a natural reserve filled with opportunities to spend the day outdoors.
Closer to home, the Yaddlethorpe Ponds provide anglers of all abilities the perfect excuse to retreat for the day, while Messingham Zoo will give the entire family the chance to get up close with several exotic species such as meerkat, coati, otters and many more!
Schools in Scunthorpe
Moorwell Meadows is located within easy reach of several schools for all ages. Willoughby Road Primary Academy is a quick 4-minute drive away while Messingham Primary is just a 6-minute drive away. St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary Voluntary Academy, rated Outstanding by Ofsted, can be reached in just 10 minutes by car too.
For younger children, Enderby Road Infant and Nursery School is incredibly close to the development and easily reached on foot. Yaddlethorpe Pre-School is also just a quick 5-minute drive away, where you will be able to leave your little ones for the day with the peace of mind that they will be well-looked after.

Transport in Scunthorpe
Located an hour’s drive from either Hull, Lincoln, or Sheffield, Yaddlethorpe’s easy access to the M180 and proximity to the A15 makes it an ideal location to remain connected to three cities all in one place.
For those who want to use public transport, Scunthorpe railway station is a 30-minute bus trip away (or a 15-minute drive) and serves several big cities thanks to its hourly service that passes through Sheffield, Manchester and terminates at Liverpool.
The number 3 bus line operated by Stagecoach East Midlands passes through various stops in Yaddlethorpe and will be your best friend if you want to visit Scunthorpe, taking you to the town centre in half an hour.
