Situated a mile or so from the M69, our new builds in Hinckley are well connected to bigger towns and cities in the East Midlands, such as Leicester, Loughborough and Market Harborough. The M69 also links to the M1, connecting the village to the likes of London and Leeds.

Hinckley railway station is less than a 10-minute drive away from the development and offers hourly services to Leicester, Birmingham New Street and Nuneaton. You can also find daily trains to Stansted Airport, passing through Peterborough and Cambridge.

The closest bus stop (Horsepool) is around a 10-minute walk away, allowing you to hop onto the number 8 bus into Burbage and Hinckley. From there, you’ll find other lines providing regular buses around the area. Arriva Midlands also run the hourly X6 bus between Leicester and Coventry.

And if you’re looking to go on holiday, you can get to Birmingham Airport in around 30 minutes by car, where you’ll be able to board direct flights to destinations both near and far, ranging from Girona and Kalamata to Barbados and Jamaica.

Things to do around Hinckley

Our new build homes in Hinckley are close to several green spaces, including the Burbage Common and Woods Country Park, which is frequently used by horse riders, dog walkers and birdwatchers wanting to make the most of any sunny weather.

Hinckley Golf Club is less than a 10-minute drive away for any avid golfers, and offers a historical 18-hole course, as well as a clubhouse, which doubles up as a restaurant and bar.

Those wanting to continue their activities indoors will want to head to the Hinckley Leisure Centre, which has a modern gym, swimming pools and even a sauna & steam room.

If you fancy a bite to eat, there are a couple of great local pubs in Burbage, including The Chequers Inn gastropub, with its lovely beer garden and delicious home-cooked food.

There’s also the family friendly The Hansom Cab, part of the Hungry Horse national chain, where you’ll find tasty food, a pool table and most major sporting events being broadcast live.

While Hinckley is home to the small Britannia Shopping Centre, you’ll find most of your favourite high-street brands in Leicester’s Fosse Park, located less than 20 minutes away by car. For your weekly groceries, you’ll find Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Lidl all within a 3-mile radius of Chestnut Acres.

Schools in Hinckley

You’ll also find plenty of good schools near our new homes in Hinckley, making it an ideal location to settle down with a young family.

Children starting off their full time education can go to Burbage C of E Infant School, located within easy walking distance of Chestnut Acres, up until the age of 7, when they will be able to move to Burbage Junior School a bit further up the road, which takes over until the age of 11.

Another good alternative is Sketchley Hill Primary School, located a 5-minute drive away, which welcomes children between the ages of 4-11.

The nearest secondary school to the development is Hastings High School (ages 11-16), which can be found just over a mile away, while there are a couple of other options within a 4-mile radius, such as Redmoor Academy and The Hinckley School.

Burbage also has a local nursery, Sketchley Hills Menphys Nursery, which looks after toddlers aged 2-5.

As for local higher education, you can find the University of Leicester and the Coventry University on either side of Chestnut Acres, as well as King Edward VI College in nearby Nuneaton.
