Group Assistant Land Buyer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Graduate to join our Group Land team as a Group Assistant Land Buyer at our head office in Barlborough, Chesterfield.

The role will be supporting and working closely with our regional Land teams, taking an active involvement to support the coordination of the land acquisition process .

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate to join a well established and experienced team of land professionals where you will assist our Group Land Director, Group Land Manager and Group Land Buyer with the administration of key Group land processes.

Key duties and requirements

Your daily tasks and responsibilities will include;

 

  • Assisting in the process of new land acquisition opportunities.
  • Assisting in the administration of key Group Land processes, information exchange, taking minutes and producing reports and land related commercial and technical documentation.
  • Supporting the production of presentations and information packages for use at internal meetings and public events/consultations and planning committees.
  • Supporting the coordination of face to face or virtual project management and operational meetings with Group teams and regional management teams.
  • Providing support to the Group Land Manager to provide feedback and advice to the Regional Land teams in the progress of land bids whilst providing support in the AFFA preparation under the direction of the Group Land Director.
  • Supporting the Group Land Director in the process of preparing Board Papers and updating the Executive Management team on all land supply and land acquisition activity.
  • Updating the Land Supply Schedule to ensure all working and project files are maintained and are up to date.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful as our Group Assistant Land Buyer, you will have recently graduated or be a current undergraduate in a relevant subject, keen to learn and understand the process of buying land from the initial acquisition identification stage through to ultimately securing land deals.

 

You must possess an ambitious and driven attitude with a drive to learn and become a part of a rapidly growing business whilst working within a professional environment.

 

You will also need to possess:

 

  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A team player with good communication skills including the ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels.
  • A keen interest in housebuilding and in particular the land process.
  • Experience of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint along with presentation writing skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
