You will find your favourite brands as well as some independent traders. Ravenside Retail Park is a short walk from Chesterfield centre also with a variety of shops. 

If the centre isn’t for you head to Chatsworth Road and Whittington Moor and explore the independent shops, restaurants and coffee shops. You will be able to pick up something unique or try something new.

Chesterfield Transport Links 

Chesterfield boasts excellent transport links with direct trains to Sheffield, Leeds and London as well as frequent bus services throughout the county. 

You can be in Chesterfield within 10 minutes off the M1 from junctions 29 and 29A.

If you want to travel abroad, Manchester Airport, East Midlands Airport and Doncaster Sheffield Airport can be reached in less than an hour. 

You can also easily reach Sheffield, Worksop, Nottingham, Derby and the Peak District by bus too. 

From London you can reach Chesterfield Rail Station in just 2 hours, or you can use the National Express and Megabus services which take roughly 3 hours and 45 minutes. 

Parks & Activities in Chesterfield

Chesterfield is full of parks and activities for the whole family to enjoy. 

You can explore parks such as:

● Holmebrook Valley Country Park: a large park with a lake where you can feed the swans, indulge in a picnic on one of the picnic tables, play football on the pitches, or cycle around the park via the cycle paths. 

● Queen’s Park: a fun park for all the family, Queen’s Park features a conservatory, several play areas and a bandstand. There is also a miniature train ride, a number of rowing boats and a cricket pitch. 

● Avenue Country Park: A beautiful park surrounded by fields, rivers and waterfalls; Avenue Country Park is the perfect place to go for a relaxing walk. 

If the outdoors isn’t for you, there are plenty of other activities to consider including visiting the Chesterfield Escape Rooms, Chesterfield Bowl or the escape room-inspired thrill ride that is Zombie Uprising.
