Due to continued success and future business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Executive/Residential Conveyancer to join our in-house conveyancing team based at our head office in Barlborough, Chesterfield.

The Role

Are you an experienced Residential Conveyancer? Are you organised, analytical and have a good attention to detail? Do you want to be a part of a friendly, driven team?

Joining our team as Legal Executive/Residential Conveyancer, you will be dealing with the Group’s plot transactions together with any Part Exchange transactions, working alongside our group plot conveyancing team.

Key duties and requirements

You will also be responsible for but not limited to;

  • Attending meetings in relation to new developments.
  • Liaising with Group External Solicitors where necessary.
  • Dealing primarily with plot sales transactions.
  • Liaising with regional office sales teams, including providing progress updates.
  • Raising enquiries on Part Exchange purchases and dealing with enquiries on sale out
  • Review of searches.
  • Preparing reports on Part Exchange purchases.
  • Registration of Part Exchange purchases.
  • Ensuring, so far as possible, that Part Exchange sales out are “back to backed” with the Part Exchange acquisition.
  • Assisting other members of the plot conveyancing team during peak and holiday periods.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful as our Legal Executive/Residential Conveyancer, you will hold proven experience as a Residential Conveyancer or Legal Executive previously, whilst also possessing excellent communication and presentation skills.

You must also possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience of managing a high-volume Residential Conveyancing case load.
  • Commercial awareness whilst being comfortable working towards a target.
  • Strong IT skills with experience of using a case management system.
  • A forward-thinking, entrepreneurial and dynamic attitude, along with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A calm but confident manner with good client care skills, as there will be a significant amount of telephone contact with sales teams and external solicitors.
  • A ‘hands-on’ approach along with an ability to work well under pressure in order to achieve key deadlines.
  • A willingness to assist other team members, when needed.
