Located between stunning beaches, dramatic coastline and the beautiful Lammermuir Hills, Edinburgh is situated only 15 miles away.
The centre of Haddington is home to a busy centre and has a tradition of offering great service and value for money. The monthly farmers market runs the last Saturday of every month and is a fantastic way to try out the local produce on offer.
The town also offers a number of local amenities with a Tesco, Aldi and Co-operative all found within the centre as well as cafes, sandwich shops, delicatessens, restaurants and trendy brasseries to choose from. There is much on offer for the avid shopper as well including corner shops, clothes shops, gift shops, florists, butchers, hairdressers and wine suppliers.
Lennoxlove Book Festival is a popular event during the year and one of the biggest country house weekends around.
For some summer fun, Haddington Festival runs from the end of May and into June. The famous Festival is a great celebration of what the town has to offer and is not just a single event, but a whole series.
The highly rated Haddington Golf Club is located just east of the town and is often called the best parkland course in East Lothian. As well as this, the recently built John Gray Centre is new to the town and provides the community with a museum, local history services and Haddington’s branch library.
The town is also home to a number of local landmarks such as St. Marys Collegiate Church and its beautiful surroundings. In addition, the beautiful Nungate Bridge, with its three arches, spans the River Tyne and has also become a town attraction as it is one of the oldest bridges in Scotland.
