The Role

This is an exciting role and opportunity for a knowledgeable Transformation Business Analyst to join our team to support all functions and identify improvements that will enable us to transform how we operate as a business.

The role of the business transformation team is to support the delivery of the Avant Five Year Growth Plan and transform the business in order to achieve our targets of 4,000 completions and £1bn revenue.

The Business Transformation Team will do this by identifying and delivering improvements in business processes, to increase operating efficiencies and improve customer satisfaction.

Business Transformation will work collaboratively with teams across all functions including Business Systems to deliver changes that make a difference to how we operate as a housebuilder.

Key duties and requirements

  • Engaging with subject matter experts (SME) in specific areas of the business in identifying and capturing requirements to implement improvements to business processes.
  • Overseeing the documentation and updating of business processes known as The Avant Way of Working (WOW) which underpin the customer journey, for purchasing a new Avant Home, from start to finish – supporting the subject SME’s to ensure the process, procedure and governance are captured correctly.
  • Working collaboratively with the operations and wider business teams to capture ‘Business Needs’ which aim to improve operating efficiencies and customer satisfaction.
  • Overall responsibility for understanding a business process and documenting the As Is state and where appropriate the To Be state using standard Business Process Models and Notations.
  • Undertaking analysis as part of information gathering for proposed changes and provide recommendations to key project stakeholders – able to summarise key points in word or graphic to suit the audience and requirements.
  • Working closely with the Project Manager to develop project documentation and facilitate workshops with business teams as required.
  • Producing and reviewing data and be comfortable interpreting statistical information and presenting it visually to all levels of audience.
  • Maintaining effective communication with the Business Systems team through regular meetings and feedback.
  • Assisting the Group Transformation Director to ensure that adequate support is being provided to the business teams to develop and improve how we operate across all regions.

 

Who are we looking for?

To be successful as our Transformation Business Analyst, you will hold previous experience of working within a similar role. 

The successful candidate will support and lead teams by helping them to articulate ‘what good looks like’ within the business which will include reviewing how we manage our products and materials as well as the customer journey. 

The role of Transformation Business Analyst would be suited to an individual who thrives in a fast paced business environment whilst also enjoying challenges and collaborative working to define future business operating procedures.

To be considered for this role you must also possess:

  • A full UK driving licence 
  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst is essential
  • Experience of supporting continuous improvement and defining process documentation using Business Processing Modelling Notation (BPMN)
  • Experience of gathering requirements from business teams (i.e. Non-Technical)
  • Requirements gathering including facilitating workshops with business teams
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting data to inform decision making
  • Experience of data analysis and summarising information using Pivots, Charts and Graphics to demonstrate a position
  • Experience of dealing with business users at all levels including senior stakeholder management
  • Experience of developing, implementing and monitoring operating procedures

Desirable Knowledge / Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills, proficient in all MS Office products with emphasis on Excel analytical tools
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and implementations
  • Experience of the House Building/Manufacturing/Construction Industry (ideally at least 1)
  • VBA or similar would be useful but not essential
  • Ability to determine own workload, schedule and workplan to ensure deadlines are adhered to
