Avant Homes Wins Hat Trick Of Pride In The Job Quality Awards

The recipients of the awards are Vince Byrne, site manager at Redlands Park in Swaffham and Dean Scargill and Tony Sanders, the site managers at Kingsfield and Prince’s Park respectively, both of which are located in Pontefract

The NHBC Pride in the Job awards recognise, reward and share industry best practice in build quality and on-site processes. It is the house-building industry's most prestigious awards programme and has been running or 35 years. Avant Homes’ winners were amongst 440 quality award-winning site managers selected from 16,000 sites across the UK.

Pride in the Job is dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standards in house-building. To become a winner, site managers have to demonstrate a variety of skills including technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and excellent leadership and organisational ability. Only site managers who demonstrate the highest standards in each of these areas receive an award.

In his 18 months at Redlands Park, Vince Byrne has been instrumental in maintaining the high quality of housebuilding that’s underway at the development, and ensuring that each new home reaches the same high standards of those already complete, whilst keeping to a tight time schedule.

Both Tony and Dean received their awards for ensuring that the build quality of their developments surpassed the already high standards expected by NHBC.

All award winners will now go forward to the regional NHBC’s Seal of Excellence Awards, to be held later in the year.
