Avant Homes’ sales academy programme nominated for training journal award

The awards, now in their 12th year, recognise the ingenuity, creativity, passion and hard work of learning and development professionals from around the world.

The Centre of Excellence was created to provide a bespoke and dedicated learning and development environment, to deliver the innovative sales academy programme and training initiatives for site managers and construction management. A seven-step sales excellence training programme has been implemented and delivered to sales advisors across all Avant Homes operating companies.

Sales Academy courses combine classroom-based activities and vocational training across Avant Homes’ developments and is aimed at training sales professionals to ensure they provide outstanding service to both Avant Homes as an employee and to the company’s customers.

Avant Homes group HR director, Alan McGillivray, said: “We are delighted to be named as a finalist in the TJ Awards. A huge amount of time and effort has been invested in our Sales Academy with the objective of developing a new breed of Avant sales advisor that truly believes and acts upon our customer journey.

“Our training programme produces a very high calibre of sales professionals who reflect and champion our brand, our highly innovative product specification and the aspirations and expectations of our potential customers, so to receive this nomination in recognition of that is something we are extremely proud of.”

Avant Homes is in good company in the Best Training Programme category with Wickes, Virgin Holidays and O2 also shortlisted. The award ceremony will take place at The Brewery in London on December 5.
