Currently being rolled out across the company’s developments located throughout Scotland, North East England, Yorkshire and the Midlands, the new specification is the result of Avant Homes’ stated aim of challenging the conventions of the house building industry.
Kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces and all fixtures and fittings in all the company’s house types have been carefully considered to ensure that buyers can purchase homes that deliver a lifestyle experience unlike any other.
Firsts and exclusives include Avant Homes being the only housebuilder in the UK to offer Hotpoint’s Class 9 cooking collection as part of its integrated home and kitchen appliances. The company has also established a partnership with London-based tile retailer Designworks which has created an exclusive collection for Avant Homes of over 50 wall and floor tile options across five design schemes.
Earlier this year, the company also revealed another industry first by partnering with British Gas to offer its Hive wireless thermostat as standard in all its homes.
The new specification, along with strong land investment in prime Northern UK locations, provides Avant Homes with the platform to deliver its next strategic milestone of a £500m turnover and 2,000 legal completions.
Avant Homes chief executive officer, Colin Lewis, said: “Our product is our hero. It has driven our success and this latest specification launch will allow our business to continue forging ahead
“We have invested a huge amount of time and energy in our new specification. By daring to be different in our approach and choices made, we have achieved innovative and highly effective ways of solving many of the old design problems that new homes have.
“We have been relentless in our pursuit of enhancing our product’s excellence even further and been our own harshest critics during the development phase. This has ensured that what we have created is good, better and different for the benefit of our buyers and the communities in which we build.
The new specification also features kitchens by Manhattan and Ellis Furniture with a choice of 19 colour palettes. Master bedrooms will feature shaker-style fully fitted wardrobes by Space-Pro in designs exclusive to Avant Homes.
In addition, as the only housebuilder to offer bi-folding doors as standard in all its homes, Avant Homes is introducing Warmcore - a new aluminium model manufactured by Synseal - as part of the new specification. This makes them lighter, easier to operate and 25 per cent more thermally efficient.
Colin added: “I am immensely proud of what the Avant Homes team has achieved with this latest specification launch and excited by the new and existing supplier partnerships that are enabling us to deliver it. I look forward to our enhanced product underpinning our strategic growth plans and achieving our objective of becoming the home builder of choice in the north of the UK.”
The specification has been unveiled at five developments - Newtonlees, Dunbar; Danetre Place, Daventry; Morisse Fields, Moulton; West Wood Fields, Apperley Bridge and Godwin Vale, Stamford Bridge. It will be rolled out to the full portfolio throughout the summer.
