The company was presented with a silver award for Best Large Housebuilder at a glittering event held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall and TV personality and broadcaster, Gabby Logan.
Now in its 37th year and widely regarded as the 'Oscars' of the UK housebuilding industry, the WhatHouse? Awards are the country’s largest event celebrating the very best new homes in Britain and are attended by 1,600 industry professionals.
Avant Homes was recognised in the hotly contested large housebuilder category following a year of record growth and expansion. For the year ended 27 April 2018, group revenues were up 21 per cent to a record £447m. During the same period, Avant Homes’ operating profit grew 43 per cent to £65.9m from £46m, making it the company’s third consecutive year of record financial results.
The company’s ambition and transformation were highlighted in the judges’ report as reasons for the accolade alongside a firm focus on its product, and always looking to enhance value as well as innovate, while never losing sight of what the customer wants.
