The developer has been granted outline planning permission for its Collingsgate development, which is located off Greenhill Road.

The proposed new homes will be a mixture of innovatively designed homes including two, three and four-bedroom semi-detached and detached houses, all complete with the housebuilder’s new interior specification.

The homebuilder also plans to deliver a tree-lined main entrance and spine road and will retain existing dry stone feature walls at many locations throughout the development.

Avant Homes Midlands managing director, Glyn Mabey, said: “We are pleased to have been granted outline planning permission for 166 new homes in Coalville and we are keen to share our detailed plans with housebuyers in the area.

“The purchase of land in Coalville further demonstrates our commitment to deliver high-quality new homes in the region and follows on from recent land acquisitions in Newark, Nottingham and Mansfield.”

As well as providing much-needed, high quality family homes, Avant Homes will deliver 33 affordable homes and invest more than £650,000 in education, infrastructure and travel initiatives.

Located on the outskirts of Coalville, the site benefits from superb views of Bardon Hill and excellent connections to the nearby cities of Leicester, Derby and Nottingham. Collingsgate is the perfect location for commuters, offering easy access to the M1 and M42 motorways.
