To plan, implement, manage and control, on-site construction and customer service activities to the required quality standards, within forecast timescales to support the Region’s business plan and future growth requirements.
• Manage the Construction functions for their Development ensuring the effective compliance, control and deployment of the Construction and onsite Customer Service activities to deliver product on time, within budget, to required standards and reported as per Group policies and processes. • Support in managing the working partnerships with Housing Associations, third-party providers and Sub-Contractors to ensure that all contractual terms are met. • Engage fully in the process of determining and agreeing Development build activities, which are technically sound, safe, economic and meet predetermined construction and customer service quality standards, identifying and managing performance problems appropriately. • Manage and effectively supervise all onsite labour and subcontract activities ensuring the provision of adequate information and compliance with predetermined quality and health and safety standards. • Manage the Development to maintain and deliver its build programme, in accordance with budgets/forecast/cash flow, reporting any potential increase or savings in expenditure to the Contracts/Area/ Construction Manager and Commercial Teams. • Actively manage communications and operational interfaces with customers, internal and external stakeholders to achieve the Regional business plan. • Effectively manage the Development, promoting a customer-focused culture and a ‘right first-time’ approach to activities. • Hold and record site/sales meetings to ensure all customers expectations, completions and issues are known, understood and properly dealt with. • Manage site waste in accordance with Group policies and processes. • Assist in the production of key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the Construction and on-site customer service functions. • Ensure that the Company maximises its compliance with Group product, specification and deals. • At all times comply with responsibilities under the Company’s Health and Safety and Environmental and Corporate Responsibility Policies and all other company policies, procedures and instructions. • Actively promote community engagement on their Development. • Any other duties as reasonably requested.
Key duties and requirements
• Provide key business information for their Development. • Ensure Group Construction and Customer Service policies and processes are being followed. • Delivery of the build programme for their Development which achieves the Regional business plan.
Who are we looking for?
• Relevant qualification or good experience in Construction Management • Good understanding of the financial implications of the methods and sequences of build. • Good knowledge in construction build programmes / Commercial awareness. • Good communication and presentation skills • Broad knowledge of the Construction Processes • Broad predetermined of Customer Service requirements subcontract awareness of codes of practice that impact on Construction matters e.g. NHBC, Building Regs etc. • Good Technical knowledge relating to construction activities. • Good knowledge of Construction Design Management Regulations
